Owned and operated by Briana and Zachery Dogherra, along with their business partner Tom Gerlach, Beyond Gymnastics has been an asset to the Southwest Valley for years. Since opening its doors in February 2018, Beyond Gymnastics has positioned itself as more than a kids’ gym: it’s a community hub that emphasizes fun, safety, and holistic development through movement. The gym’s mission is to foster a love of gymnastics, build community, and create well‑rounded athletes by teaching “skills beyond the scope of gymnastics,” and their curriculum follows progressive standards aligned with USA Gymnastics.
A welcoming facility for all ages
Located at 3690 S. Estrella Parkway, Suite 101 in Goodyear, Beyond Gymnastics operates from an air‑conditioned, family‑focused facility that hosts separate spaces for different age groups and programs. The gym has certified staff and state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Best of all, they accept ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) funding and ClassWallet, expanding access for all families.
Programs that grow with the athlete
Beyond Gymnastics offers a wide range of classes, from Parent & Tot to progressive Junior and Youth levels, as well as intermediate and advanced tumbling options. The program structure is designed for children to advance through levels as they develop strength, coordination, and confidence. Beyond Gymnastics truly put the “fun” in fundamentals.
Facilities and equipment built for progression
With an 8,000 sq ft main facility, stocked with training tools including full‑ and half‑sized resi pits, adjustable quad bars, full‑sized beams, a 30‑ft tumble trak trampoline, and more, Beyond Gymnastics has room for everyone to succeed. The Main Gym offers classes for children aged 5 years and up, including the Junior Level One and Junior Level Two programs, as well as Youth Level One -Youth Level 3 programs. The more intimate Junior Gym hosts the Parent Tot and Independent Movers classes for children aged 1-4 years old.
Special Programs and Camps
Beyond Gymnastics truly has a class for every child. Their Tiny Twirlers class offers a combination of dance and tumbling for little ones, while their Cheer Prep class is a tumbling-specific class available for advanced levels; perfect for those who are only interested in floor skills or for dancers/cheerleaders looking to boost their current skills. Got a high-energy kid looking for an outlet? You’ve got to check out Power Play, a fast-moving class that includes gymnastics, parkour, and ninja elements. In addition to their gymnastics programs, Beyond Gymnastics offers seasonal camps, like their Summer Camp, as well as uniquely themed events such as Parents Night Out and special holiday events.
