When you walk into Children’s Art Classes Goodyear, you’re greeted by a gallery of incredible artwork: paintings, drawings, etchings, sculptures, ceramics, and more. When you look at the quality of the artwork, it’s almost hard to believe that it was all created by children, but that is exactly what you can expect from Children’s Art Classes Goodyear.
Owned and operated by Goodyear residents, Daniel and Natalie Vasile, Children’s Art Classes Goodyear is driven by the belief that “every child is an artist in progress.” The children’s art studio has everything a young artist needs to develop and improve their art skills. With their year-long (school year) curriculum taught by passionate certified art teachers, your students are taught various different media and techniques to build artistic skills and confidence. This is not a one-day learn-to-draw class or a pottery painting studio. Each lesson is strategic, intentional, and scaffolds the skills within the different art mediums so your child can not only create, but also cultivate life-long artistic skills.

Course offerings
Children’s Art Classes offers courses for children of all ages that follow a 9-month curriculum that aligns with the school year.
Their Tiny Hands program for ages 3-4 introduces children to the different art mediums through creativity and exploration. Children are able to try new things, get a little messy, learn from mistakes, to create works of art that will have them (and you!) beaming with pride. This two-year course provides young artists with the confidence they need to grow as an artist and an individual.
Introduction to Art for ages 5-6 is a two-year program where artists begin to dive into the world of self-expression while learning medium specific skills and vocabulary. Students will get to use different tools and techniques across a wide variety of mediums to build their foundation as an artist.

Beginning Art is for ages 7-8. This class is for students who both have and haven’t had any formal art instruction. It is also a two-year program, but it leads young artists into a deeper understanding of artistic mediums and concepts. It is a terrific opportunity for learners to get their hands-on experience creating art that they feel is beautiful.
Art 1 is the course where your artist will dive deep into the elements of art. This course is offered to children ages 9 and up and begins by cultivating their skills through “monochromatic work that deepens their understanding of line, value, and texture”. Your artists will spend weeks planning, drafting, and sketching, to learn the artistic process of various forms of art from drawing portraits to using scratchboard. Several weeks into the session, they will learn about color-theory and use that knowledge to create different projects. Students will use all of the techniques, concepts, and skills they have learned to create a myriad of artwork to be used in a professional-quality portfolio that can be used to open-doors to opportunities via scholarships or careers in the art-field.
Last, but certainly not least, they offer a Homeschool Curriculum that is perfect for homeschooled students or co-ops. This program offers in-studio art instruction at the appropriate level for the students and allows students to grow their skills year after year. Children’s Art Classes Goodyear is a certified ESA vendor.
